Cris Lacy

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF A&R, WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE

Cris Lacy, originally from Chesapeake Virginia, started as an aspiring singer/songwriter in local country bands. In 1991, she moved to Nashville and enrolled in Vanderbilt University. She graduated from Vanderbilt with a degree in English and Communications, and promptly went to work for Tom Collins Music publishing. Over the next ten years, she honed her publishing skills at Rick Hall/Fame Publishing, Island Bound Publishing, and Warner Chappell Publishing.

Cris now serves as Executive Vice President of A&R at Warner Music Nashville. She is charged with overseeing the day to day operations of Warner’s A&R department, as well as the careers of Kenny Chesney, Gabby Barrett, Devin Dawson, High Valley, Chris Janson, Cody Johnson, Reigning ACM New Female Vocalist Ashley McBryde, Michael Ray, ACM New Artist Cole Swindell, Walker County, and Charlie Worsham. She is a member of the Country Music Association, the Recording Academy, and the Academy of Country Music. Cris is a graduate of Leadership Music, Class of 2016. The same year, she was honored as one of Music Row Magazine’s “Rising Women On The Row. Cris was included as one of Billboard’s Women in Music in 2016 & 2018.
